The Suzuki Ignis started its production from the year of 2000. The early models consisting between 2000 and 2008 were subcompact hatchbacks as a predecessor to the Suzuki Cultus. After 2016 and onwards, it was transformed into a small crossover and a more practical car. Other then the Cultus, the new Ignis is also related to the Suzuki Swift, another hatchback made by the Japanese automaker. The name Ignis is the Latin for "fire" and they have tried their best to make the car look lively and sporty.
The Suzuki Ignis 2018 had a pretty normal but young interior. The materials used on the dash are two-tone plastics. The interior is well built and the touchscreen or the infotainment system is very good. The seats are covered in the fabric while leather upholstery is also an option. The car is quite comfortable and spacious but the rear cargo space is not that good. Still, keeping its exterior dimensions in mind, the interior is quite roomy.compare its feature with all cars in Pakistan on comparebox.pk before buying. The ride quality is good and sound insulation is pretty exceptional too.
The car is a front engine vehicle and is offered in both front wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The engines offered are a 1.2L K12C Inline 4 cylinder petrol and a 1.3L Inline 4 cylinder Diesel engine. This little amount of power is transferred to the wheels by a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed CVT automatic. A 5-speed Auto gear shift automatic is also offered but only in India and Indonesia. The power is little but with its high ground clearance, it can still do off-roading with the all wheel drive variant. Overall the car is pretty practical and the fuel consumption is also very good and economical.
