Nissan Motor Company is another famous Japanese cars manufacturer, headquartered in Yokohama but famous all over the world as a successful automobile maker. Not only that, it is also the largest electric vehicle producer worldwide. The annual sales of Nissan's all-electric vehicles were more than 275,000 in December 2006. One of the best and top selling all-electric car was the Nissan Leaf, not only for Nissan, it is the most sold all-electric plug-in car in the world until today. Nissan is also proud to be North America's largest car manufacturer in 2014. Coming to Pakistan, the Ghandhara Nissan Limited begun dealing Nissan cars in Pakistan in 1981, until that time it has been doing its job in dealing the new CBU Nissan vehicles all across Pakistan. Ghandhara Nissan Limited became a private company under KSE in 1992, and the Nissan vehicle plants have been ever since located at Port Qasim Karachi. Unlike other car companies, Nissan is mostly famous for its all-electric cars, but it has some amazing hybrid and conventional cars in Pakistan. it is a very reliable brand and produces top-notch quality cars and other vehicles. Although Nissan never gained as much popularity in Pakistan as other car brands such as Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki it is still pretty much admired by people from all walks of life, the price range is not as affordable for the normal middle-class masses, but Nissan does have a variety for all car costumes.
Nissan is worldwide known for its usual sedans, crossovers and ordinary SUVs like other car manufacturers like Toyota and Honda. It was not considered to be a part of the sports breed and was actually not until it created its first high-performance car, the Nissan GT-R. But overall in Pakistan, Nissan is more known for its compact hatchbacks and crossovers, one of such cars that have made Nissan stand tall and proud is the all-electric Nissan Leaf. The Nissan Leaf Pakistan is manufactured since 2010 and is not only popular in Pakistan but was sold all over the world, it is also the most sold all-electric car in the whole world.
The Nissan Leaf 2018 price in Pakistan is normal not too high neither very low keeping in mind that it is an electric car but also made budget friendly, so the Nissan Leaf 2018 is sold in Pakistan for around 25 to 42 lac rupees depending on the model and auction sheet.
In last 5 years, there are many hybrid Japanese cars in Pakistan, so there are many competitors of hybrid cars, but this being an all-electric, there are a few competitors which are Tesla Model 3 and Chevy Bolt. Leaf has a reasonable market, by the time people are getting familiar with this car.
The Nissan Leaf Pakistan was initially introduced in 2012 and gained popularity for its compact design, initially, it was a big thing and since 2010, it is forever being appreciated and loved and is still the most sold all-electric car in the world, mainly because of it being slightly budget friendly.
Nissan Leaf Pakistan is a compact family car and had the good enough capacity of 4 to 5 persons, it is a small hatchback car with 5 doors, including the rear opening.Nowadays it is considered to be one of the most spacious and decent hatchback cars in Pakistan. It is also quite comfortable, as for the seats are concerned and also had enough leg space which added to its comfort, also keeping in mind that it is a hatchback, it is not as congested as other hatchback cars now. It comes with small cute lights in the front and similar rectangular lights at the rear end of the car. In 2015 it received a few changes but only in the headlights, that is, it got minor changes which only lifted its previous features.
The Nissan Leaf comes with a beautiful interior with all the noticeable technology for its time. The Nissan Leaf is way better now in terms of interior, the Nissan Leaf has a grey plastic dashboard with a stereo player, a speedometer with rpm, a lighter and ashtray, air conditioner, heater. The Nissan Leaf comes with automatic windows, mobile phone and wallet holders and had leather seat covers in some variants.
The Nissan Leaf comes with a 24 kWh electric vehicle battery (total capacity; usable battery capacity is about 21.3 kWh), it consists of 48 modules and each module contains four battery cells, a total of 192 cells, and is assembled by Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC) a joint venture between Nissan, NEC and NEC Energy Devices, at Zama, Japan.
One of the most amazing things about Nissan Leaf and other cars from Japan is that they are strongly built and won't break down with every other little jump on the regular Pakistani streets and roads, but Pakistan faces a lot of electricity problems, it is not only expensive but also pretty unreliable so such cars do not much have a market or popularity here in Pakistan, but other than that, it is truly a great car.
