Mitsubishi Motor Company is one of the oldest yet still prevalent and successful Japanese Car Company, they majorly deal with internal combustion engines and are hence popular for their small compact cars from the kei category. Mitsubishi was also famous for its yet again compact off-road vehicles. In 2016, Mitsubishi Motor Co. became a subsidiary owned by the Nissan Corporation. Moving on, Mitsubishi's major field of interest is to come up with innovative and economical compact small cars and lead the ever-increasing competition in the Japanese car market as well as in other countries. Especially after being a part of the worldwide famous, known and trusted Nissan Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi has been keenly working on producing the best compact cars in the world. Founded in 1951, the Mitsubishi Car company gained a lot of influence and popularity all over the world within the next decade, then it began spreading all over the world, including Pakistan but never gained as much popularity as other Japanese car companies such as Suzuki which has been used in almost every street in Pakistan. In Pakistan, the Mitsubishi cars are now represented and dealt with under the name of Nissan Corporation. What we love most about the Mitsubishi cars are their fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness. It is one of the basic aims of Mitsubishi to come up with cars that give great mileage, are fuel efficient and give out least carbon emission.
Mitsubishi is worldwide known for its usual sedans, crossovers and ordinary SUVs like other cars in Pakistan manufacturers like Toyota and Honda. What the company does good is making these ordinary products, or specifically saying the Mitsubishi Pajero. The Mitsubishi Pajero is a full-size SUV with high ground clearance and very good off-road capabilities. The car is also known for its reliability, the only reason why Pajeros still exist while their production has stopped long time ago.
The price in Pakistan is relatively cheap for its category and capabilities but keeping the fact in mind that the car is old. The Mitsubishi Pajero is available in the market for as low as 2 million to 3 million Pakistani rupees. The price is in accordance with the model and its condition.
Mitsubishi Pajero has a reasonable market in Pakistan. The original competitors are the old models of Toyota Land Cruiser and the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. But there are still new competitors which are around its price range, these are the KIA Sportage and the Toyota Rush.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Pakistan is a well-known car to most people and everyone has seen two versions of this cars, a two-door car, popularly known as the mini Pajero and a four-door full-size version. Both these cars are capable of good off-roading but I would recommend the mini as it is lightweight and agiler in muddy and other harsh terrains.
The Mitsubishi Pajero is a full-size SUV, a proper sports utility vehicle. The car has 5 doors, 4 passenger doors, and a rear hatch. It can seat 7 people as it has two third row seats. The engine is not fast or has agile handling and by the way, it looks, you won't expect it to. If talking about going off-road, the car has all-wheel drive and can pretty much handle such terrain but would not be so good on mud or sand as the heavy body will sink in.
The Mitsubishi Pajero comes with a very humble interior but does have the noticeable technology for its time back then and the Mitsubishi Pajero is way better now in terms of interior, the Mitsubishi Pajero has a grey plastic dashboard with a stereo player, a speedometer with rpm, a lighter and ashtray, air conditioner, heater. The Mitsubishi Pajero comes with automatic windows, mobile phone and wallet holders and had leather seat covers in some variants.
The Mitsubishi Pajero comes with many engine options which are all petrol. First comes a 2.8litre I4 cylinder, then a bigger 3.0litre I4 cylinder and then come the big bad boys. A 3.5litre V6 and the biggest, a 3.8litre V6. The car has a decent size fuel tank but the fuel economy or consumption is quite poor and the car spills fuel wildly.
One of the most amazing things about Mitsubishi Pajero and other cars from Japan is that they are strongly built and are long-lasting. These cars are taken to rallies, off-road adventures and are still seen on the Pakistani roads even though these cars are very old.
