The Honda Zest Spark is a Japanese Kei car which was introduced in the year of 2008. The car shares its mechanics with the Honda cars Life's 5th generation model and like all Kei car comes in either front wheel drive or all wheel drive configuration with the all-wheel-drive variants only available in areas with harsh climates. The first generation model lasted from 2008 to 2012. It has Honda like body design with side swept lights and chrome pieces. It is a hatchback like most cars in its category and overall looks quite aggressive and sporty from its exterior.
Moving inside, the car is pretty roomy for its dimensions and is reasonably comfortable. The dash and doors consist of gray and silver plastic pieces with leather upholstery not being an option as the seats also come in the only fabric. Standard features include power steering, power lock doors, power windows, air conditioning and a tachometer. If you need extra, options include satellite navigation, contrast stitching, and climate control.
The engine is like all Kei cars is a 0.66-litre(660cc) turbocharged Inline 3 cylinder making 62hp at 6000 rpm. All of this little horsepower is transferred to the wheels by a 4-Speed CVT Automatic Transmission. The car does an average 15km's per liter with a 30litre fuel tank making the estimated driving range of 450km. Overall the car is pretty nice compared to its competitors being the Daihatsu Mira, Honda N One, Toyota Vitz and the Nissan Moco with a nice ride quality, decent economy, and small exterior dimensions. Like all Kei cars, spare parts are difficult to get and maintenance is expensive.
